28 Gifts to Treat Yourself to for Valentine’s Day

Collage of self-care gifts for Valentine's Day.

Written by Ali Baldwin

"It’s the thought that counts when it comes to gifts. And who knows better than I what I’m thinking?" - Me

Single on Valentine’s Day? Guess what, bestie, you’re in excellent company, because 28% of U.S. households are single-person households. Including mine (unless you count my dog, who absolutely thinks he’s a person).

Hand on heart, I love it. Especially since it’s a fabulous opportunity to show myself (and maybe some close friends!) some love with a gift I’ve been debating getting for far too long. Here are the self-care gifts I’m eyeing up for Valentine’s Day (and think you should add to your own wishlists, too).

Valentine's Day Gifts to Give to Yourself (or Your BFF!)

1

Body Pillow

$

$

49.95

$

I imagine this transporting me to a realm in which I’m both the big and little spoon, cocooned in the perfect hug. Or at least alleviating the achiness that comes from being a side sleeper.

2

Mini Waffle Maker

$

$

12.99

$

One of the biggest challenges about being single is making yummy single-serving meals (leftovers are great, but I love a bit of variety, too). A homemade waffle would be a delicious victory.

3

Souper Cubes

$

$

34.99

$

Canned soup just doesn’t cut it for me (and my can opener barely cuts cans open anyway). The thought of a freezer full of perfectly portioned soups to enjoy whenever delights me.

4

Aromatherapy Diffuser with Auto Shut Off

$

$

29.95

$

What can I say? I’m just a girl, forever trying to find ways to destress while simultaneously making my home smell lovely. Not only can this do that, but I won't stress over turning it off.

5

Voluspa 18 oz. French Cade Lavender Candle

$

$

33.25

$

After having a lovely Fir-scented Voluspa candle stolen from me at Evite’s White Elephant party (*sob*), I can move on with this heavenly lavender-scented version.

6

Candle Warmer

$

$

24.99

$

Okay, but what if I fall asleep with the candle on? Not a prob with this auto-shut off candle warmer! It can also heat up a cup of coffee, so really, it’s already impressing me more than most dates.

7

Eight Saints Vitamin C Serum

$

$

34.20

$

According to Amazon, I first purchased the now TikTok-famous COSRX Snail Essence back in 2019. Am I a visionary? IDK, but I’m counting on this serum to be my next skincare game changer.

8

Motivational Water Bottle

$

$

12.99

$

I’m notoriously awful at staying hydrated, and if being surrounded by a sea of Stanleys isn’t motivating me to drink more water, it’s obvious I need to be told to. But, you know, in a nice, chic way.

9

Adorable Tea Bags

$

$

19.99

$

I love a good cup of tea, and I’m pretty sure one with a fun Tea-rex bag in it would make my day soooo much better (this brand’s cute heart or silhouette of Cillian Murphy designs will also do).

10

Tubing Mascara

$

$

8.64

$

Maybelline began after chemist Thomas Williams noticed his sister Mabel enhancing her eyelashes to woo a guy (it worked). Their Sky High Mascara is said to be a fab dupe for Thrive’s tubing mascara.

11

Rocketbook Reusable Smart Notepad

$

$

36.99

$

It's good to write thoughts out. But it can be cringe to read them the next day. I like that I can save the useful thoughts digitally and easily erase the "Huh?!?" ones with this notebook.

12

TUSHY Bidet

$

$

89.00

$

The amount of “I put it together myself!” reviews gives me the confidence to believe I won’t have to make an awkward phone call to my landlord explaining why I won’t get my security deposit back.

13

Silk Pillowcase

$

$

25.99

$

Anyone else dreaming of upgrading their pillowcase? This 100% mulberry silk (22 momme!) pillowcase is gentle on the skin, hair and wallet. Does it get any better?

14

grace & stella Illuminating Eye Masks

$

$

39.95

$

While we’d all love 8 hours of sleep a night, let’s be real—it’s not happening. But that doesn’t mean I can’t LOOK like I've gotten my beauty sleep thanks to these rejuvenating eye patches.

15

Ninja Air Fryer

$

$

74.99

$

TBH, I don’t know why I don’t own this yet. They're basically perfect for people who don’t always enjoy cooking just for themselves. I'm manifesting hitting the “Place your order” button this year.

16

Kitsch Stainless Steel Ice Roller

$

$

17.99

$

Look, when a co-worker with amazing skin raves about a beauty tool, you can bet I’m going to immediately add it to my wishlist. I’ll take all the de-puffing, glowing-complexion goodness I can get.

17

Back and Neck Shiatsu Massager

$

$

39.96

$

There are a lot of DIY massagers out there, but with 6500+ 5-star reviews (and my desire to undo the shoulder pain that comes with typing at a desk all day), this is my chosen one right here.

18

Linen Duvet and Pillow Sham Set

$

$

143.99

$

Linen is what I like to call “unfussy luxury.” Wrinkles? They enhance the look! Repeat washings? They make it even softer! It's def time to get a second set.

19

L'Occitane Hand Cream Set

$

$

33.00

$

I know I’m not the only one who needs to have super-moisturizing hand cream within reach at all times.

20

Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Malibu Cozy Slippers

$

$

64.00

$

Who wouldn’t wish for the cloud-like coziness of Barefoot Dreams’ throws and robes on their feet? Frankly, I’d question anyone who doesn’t want that in their lives.

21

Wine Aerator and Preserver Set

$

$

44.99

$

This sleek set comes with an electric wine bottle opener (yay, no more struggle!), an aerator (yay, better wine!) and a preserver/stopper set (yay, no need to finish the bottle in one night!).

22

Iridescent Wine Glass Set

$

$

24.99

$

Speaking of wine nights, why not invite others over to share in a glass or two? Colorful glassware is a major trend right now (and I, for one, hope it never goes away).

23

Travel Blanket Pillow

$

$

26.99

$

Travel is one of the best self-care gifts you can give to yourself—minus for the whole stuck-on-an-airplane-for-hours moments. Anything that makes that part more comfortable is a major win.

24

Natori Nightgown

$

$

109.24

$

No shade to ancient t-shirts that are doing their best to be sleepwear, but there’s something so uplifting about putting on a flirty (but still comfy) nightgown just because.

25

Cozy Loungewear Set

$

$

39.99

$

For those days when I want to binge-watch a new show but also have to open the door for Amazon deliveries, this cute sweats set is it.

26

Botanical Bath Bomb Set

$

$

21.00

$

I’m obsessed with how pretty these are! I know that’s not the main point (the relaxing aromatherapeutic experience is) but, I love gifts that feel like gifts long after I’ve opened them.

27

Charlotte Tilbury WALK OF NO SHAME Lipstick

$

$

21.00

$

Red lipstick is timeless. Red lipstick is empowering. Red lipstick says, “You will know which cup is mine.” Just try to have a bad day when you’re rocking the perfect red lip.

28

Philodendron Micans

$

$

31.99

$

Plants can reduce stress, purify air and improve focus. While I love all my 70+ houseplants, I would love another Micans. It's incredibly easy to care for and looks gorgeous in various lighting.
