Real Parties: Barbie in the City

If last summer was hot girl summer, it’s fair to say that this summer is Barbie girl summer. In response to the release of the highly anticipated Barbie movie, we’re seeing Barbie-inspired parties everywhere and we can’t get enough! Fashion and lifestyle influencer Lexi (@leximars) hosted this cute yet fuss-free Barbie party in Chicago, IL, complete with pink food, pink decor and plenty of time for dancing to the Barbie soundtrack. Venue: High-rise apartment with city view perfect for dinner and drinks.

Cake: Vanilla cupcakes with vanilla frosting and sprinkles from a local grocery store.

Food: All things pink: pink cookies, pink cupcakes and pink candy!

Florals: Bouquets of various pink flowers, also from my local market!

Beverages: Barbie x Swoon Pink Lemonade and The Beach Rosé by Whispering Angels.

Activities: Dancing to the Barbie movie soundtrack and truth or drink.

Decor: More pink! Some of my fave finds: this cupcake holder, these xo, Fetti drink pouches, these pink, wavy cocktail glasses, this pink foil fringe, this balloon kit, these pink, striped popcorn boxes and these pink, heart-shaped sunglasses.
