I'll be there playing in the band but most likely not before 8PM as I'm living here again and have a gig in town earlier.
Really looking forward to seeing everyone and rockin' the dining hall once again!
i'm confused! i'm trying to register my family... it costs less for a whole family, right? hmmm... i'm coming up for the semester reunion, and i was hoping to stay in a cabin with some of my friends from woolman, and my family is just coming for saturday.
I attended the school in the late '80's. I'm now in Seattle with my German husband and three kids. We'll be in town visiting my mother and brother so we're all planning on coming!
I'm coming up to hear Bob Mora and his OTHER band playing at the Nevada County Fair Thurs August 7th at 8pm, and plan to stay through the weekend. The agenda on the Sierra Friends Center website lists Aug 10th as a day for alumni reunion, but I haven't heard about any planned events. I guess its grow your own.
Jamie Jordan and I will be coming together as he is my stepfather and we will bring my two boys. I can hardly believe that it has been twenty years since graduation.
I am from the JWS class of '78 and so this year marks my 30 year grauation anniversary. I hope that some you from 1975 to 1978 are coming! In case a westside cabin is available, I am paying for same by Paypal for Friday and Saturday nights' lodging in addition to the registration fee for my family. Otherwise we will camp in a tent.
I am so excited to see Woolman, re-connect with old friends and show my 15 year old daughter the amazing school where I lived in a tree house, raised goats and built looms. Haven't been back since I graduated in 1971!
I went to JWS first as a volunteer in the summer of 71 then attended my sophmore year there! I was one of the lucky ones to spend a semester in Arizona with Jim and his goats! man!We did an unforgetable 2 week survival trip in the desert!I Oh, I went by Blossom then!
I will be arriving early as I told Bob and will help in any way needed to prepare for the event. I will probably arrive on Thursday. I will be staying with Dorothy
I only attended Woolman from 1981-82 but it changed my life and my sister Evangeline went on to attend all four years graduating in 1985 and then to teach there as a staff member. I've been meaning to attend one of these for the longest time.
I plan to attend. My wife may come, but nothing definate yet. I can give one or two people a ride from Reno (two if one is small - I have a standard cab pickup).
I will be there. I attended Woolman 81 to 85 but lived there from 67 to 81as a staff "brat". I look forward to seeing many old friends at this gathering. :)
As I mentioned before on the phone, I am willing to help locate some students and staff from the years I worked at Woolman, with records available at the school.
I'm working on being there Saturday. My year at JWS was 71 (an excellent year.) My daughter Justine was a Junior at JWS in 99. She is at UC Berkeley and may come with me to the reunion.
Our family (the Russell's from Berkeley Meeting) spent many weekends and vacations at Woolman in the early 60's helping build Woolman. I usually went to summer work camps. My sister Ann and brother David went to school there.
I'd love to see the place again and maybe even some of the people I met.
Much to my chargin, I must return to the South Land tomorrow (from Sacramento). I'll visit the campus tomorrow. And on from my era is invited to Email me and tell me about the event or yourself.

We will not be able to attend, but may visit the campus at another time as our son also lives on Jones Bar Road (the steep dirt part down to the river.
We are sorry to miss this event. Sam will be away at the ACLU week long event and Dennis is away at a art program until 8/12/08. Please think of us for future events. Always are best to you.
Sounds like a great event but I will be out of town. Thank you for the invitation. I look forward to seeing you again this coming year at McClatchy High School.
I would love to come ... but our son is home briefly from Turkey, so I will be at home in Montana. I will certainly be there in spirit ... and look forward to hearing about it and seeing photos. Fondly from East Rosebud Lake.
I am not going to be able to attend the gathering, as it looks like we won't be getting down to California this summer. Hopefully we will make it next year. The grounds and JWS hold a very special place in my heart.
I was one of the first Woolmanites (1964 -1966)and wish I could be there with you. My Family wishs all the best it would be nice to find out what happed to the original people like Nanny, Chris Hayden, Rusty and Joyce Thompson.
Best of luck & I will be there in spirit.
Unfortunately, I live too far away in the state of Washington. 1984-1985 were awesome years and I would just love to camp out in an A frame cabin. Anyone have pictures from this year?
