Painting a Better Tomorrow

Do you ever feel like you need to give back to your community, but just don't even know where to start? Do you sometimes like to paint? Do you like kids? Do you like pizza? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then Excel Coatings is making it easy for you this year by teaming up with the Master Builders Association (MBA) to participate in the “Painting for a Better Tomorrow" event on November 7^th at the Boys and Girls Club of Bellevue!

This is your chance to impact the lives of thousands of children who rely on the Boys and Girls Club. The Club provides invaluable services for over 6,000 children, with 650 coming daily to get assistance with homework, play games, or just to have fun. By volunteering to paint this Club they will be able to devote funds to other purposes that will directly impact the children. However, the positive effects of a fresh coat of paint are undeniable (our customers can vouch for that).

We had great success last year with the “Painting for a Better Tomorrow" event at the YWCA in Belltown. Close to 30 people volunteered their time and had a lot of fun doing so. We painted a large bathroom that was desperately in need of a paint job as well as the main conference room, which needed some help too. I had a lot of fun and got a huge kick out of giving back to my community, and I am sure that the other volunteers did as well.

Now, we are asking for your help. The number of volunteers that we are able to recruit to help paint determines the amount of work that we can give to the YWCA, so your participation is paramount. This will just be a one-day event, on November 7^th, and will only last for part of the day. You will be given refreshments, a t-shirt, lunch, and have a lot of fun. But, most importantly, you will be making a tremendous and positive impact on the lives of thousands of children.

The event begins at 8 AM on Saturday, November 7^th, but you are welcome to show up whenever you please. We should have everything wrapped up by 2.
