2nd Annual East Atlanta Queen of the Strut Pageant

The pageant fast approaches. September 8th 10 pm at Mary's. Remember it is a benefit for Animal Action Rescue. There will be a $5 or more donation cover charge and contestants are asked to donate $10 or more. Winners will recieve Prizes donated by community businesses, trophies and the privilege of riding on the "Queen of the Strut" Float in the Strut Parade September 15 at 2 pm. I am looking forward to running again as "Returning Champion" - Miss Emerald Lake. Remember that Contestants can be named for their street e.g. "Miss Bouldercrest", or the business that they are representing - e.g "Miss Quick Copy" or "Miss My Sister's Room". We want contestants of all stripes, genders, ages etc. There will be a trivia section - some EAV and dirty Trivia and a talent competition. I won last year making Sloe Gin Fizzes while lip syncing -2nd place chugged a beer- I think third ate a hot dog while wearing only his underpants, cowboy boots and a viking helmet. Judges are local celebs and the host is Chazlounge of Gravity Pub Bingo Fame. Donations from local businesses are currently being accepted - Gift Certificates - Bar Tabs, Merchandise, Dance Lessons, etc. Any business making a donation will be listed on the posters and thanked for their donation at the pageant. Please let us know if you know of a business, artist etc. willing to donate. Looking forward to another fun night for a great cause.
