Join We Are Family Sept. 25th for our annual Maybe-Baby Workshop, sponsored by the HRC. This is an informative and educational event for anyone in the LGBT community that is considering parenting. This will be an interactive learning environment that everyone will benefit from! This year we will have a new speaker, Mindy Berkson from Lotus Blossom Consulting! This event will be catered and we will be handing out goodie bags until we run out.
You will learn about many family creation options, including surrogacy, egg donation, sperm banks, and insemination and egg cryopreservation. A member of HRC will be available to talk about national programs such as All Children All Families, which promotes the recruitment of LGBT foster and adoptive families. Guest speakers will include Andre Wade from Clark County DFS, Dr. Littman from Red Rock Fertility, Dr. McConnell from Nevada Fertility Cares, Mindy Berkson from Lotus Blossom Consulting and Erica Bowers from Growing Generations.
The Maybe-Baby Workshop will afford every attendee the opportunity to interact with the guest speakers and current parents, in order to obtain a better understanding of how to create a family and what resources are available to the LGBT community.
