Jewish Philadelphians come eat Shabbat dinner with us!

Join us for a vegetarian potluck Shabbat dinner. Show off your cooking! Catch up with old friends! Meet new people!  People of all ages and denominations welcome.

Please sign up to bring something so that we will have enough food.
Unfortunately, Evite only allows each person to sign up for one thing
to bring. If you are RSVPing for more than one person, you can let us
know about other things that you will bring in the comments section and
we will edit the things to bring accordingly.
KASHRUT: We acknowledge the diversity of kashrut practices in our community, and in order to ensure that everyone can contribute and everyone can eat, it is requested that all food adhere to ONE of the following two standards:
1) Vegetarian, with only vegetarian ingredients. (Fish with fins and
scales is also ok as long as it is labeled or self-evident.)
2) Still vegetarian (plus fish, as above), and all ingredients are marked
with a recognized kosher symbol (more than just "K"), cooked (if
applicable) in a kosher kitchen that uses only hechshered products.

There will be a separate buffet table for each category, so that
everyone can be fully informed. Feel free to email if you have any
questions.

Please note that the BZBI kitchen will be closed, and will not be available for use on the day/evening of the potluck. Also note that to facilitate set up, the tablecloths brought for this potluck will not be used until the next potluck.

Please email us if:
-you want to bring a second item.
-you sign up to bring something and can't come.
-you would like to volunteer to be on the welcome or setup crew
-you have any other questions.

The above description of the 2-table system was shamelessly lifted from http://mahrabu.blogspot.com/2006/02/hilchot-pluralism-part-i-two-table.html.
Please feel free to check out that article along with many other thoughtful discussions on Jewish pluralism.
