Happy Yuengling to one and all!
What the heck is Happy Yuengling? It's perhaps the best holiday ever invented. It started in the Days of Yore (or 4 years ago) when three Wise Men (or 5 drunkards) decided to invent their own holiday to be celebrated the weekend before everyone leaves town for the holidays. Turning to his trusty right hand, one Wise Man looked down upon the glorious sight of a bottle of his favorite brew and declared, "This day hence forth shall be known as Happy Yuengling." And there was much rejoicing.
Much as the first Happy Yuengling celebration took place at an Irish pub that lead to a merry band of friends and strangers keeping the party going after the bar closed, the fourth incarnation will revisit this tradition.
If you want to be part of Happy Yuengling, come to Ri Ra in Clarendon Saturday, December 20. The pre- and post-party will be at Aaron/Ben/Kevin's pad at 230 N. Highland St. Pre-parting will start at 8pm; post-party, well, who knows. We'll get to the bar by 10pm.
The only catch is that each toast must be made with a joyous call of "HAP-pee Yuengling!" Trust me--it's contagious.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Krazy Kwanzaa, and HAP-pee Yuengling, everyone!
