You know you were inspired by Senator Obama's amazing acceptance speech last Thursday, and wondered, "What can I do to make this happen?" Help register AAPI voters and spread the word about Obama-Biden in Nevada, a critical swing state!
In this critical swing state, AAPI's are a critical swing vote! AAPI's make up a significant population in Nevada. Many are not registered to vote, and are still somewhat unfamiliar with the Obama-Biden ticket.
What to expect on this trip?
FRIDAY: Arrive in Vegas
SATURDAY:
*Register voters at the Pacific Islands festival
*Phone bank, register voters, or canvas in local Vegas AAPI communities, helping out the campaign field offices there.
*Have dinner with fellow out of state volunteers and local AAPI's for Obama, and discuss ideas for getting out the AAPI vote in November.
SUNDAY:
*(optional) Dim Sum with Chinese Americans for Obama
*Leave to go back to LA.
