Hampton University On-Site Admissions

The Hampton University Office of Admissions and the Raleigh Chapter National Hampton Alumni Association invite you to attend an On-Site Admissions and Information Reception on November 30, 2009 @ 4:30 PM at Martin St. Baptist Church (Johnson Building) at 1001 E. Martin & State Streets Raleigh, NC 27601. The entrance to the Johnson building is on State Street.

All students interested in attending Hampton University are encouraged to attend.

High School Seniors will receive an immediate admissions decision at the event and merit scholarships will be extended to qualifying students (subject to availability of funds). For more information on admissions and scholarship information, please visit the following link:

Seniors need to bring the following information to participate in the on-site admissions process:

1. The signed and completed application form for admission  http://www.hamptonu.edu/studentservices/admissions/pdf/hu_undergraduate_app.pdf


2. Application fee of $35.00 (non-refundable). Only cashier's check or money order accepted.


3. A copy of your social security card.


4. Standardized Test Results ACT or SAT scores are required of all students


5. OFFICIAL high school transcript


6. Three (3) letters of recommendation to include a guidance counselor or teacher


7. Essay on one of the following topics:
   i. 'Describe a personal moral or ethical dilemma and how it impacted your life'; or
   ii. 'How Should Today's Youth Combat Negative Moral Influences'; or
   iii. An autobiographical essay
   
   The University grants credit for (AP) advanced placement, and (IB) International Baccalaureate programs.
