We're throwing a happy hour for 8asians.com. $10 donations requested at the door. This is not an "official" hapihour.org event, but the format is the same.
8Asians.com is a collaborative blog by authors of Asian decent with a decidedly Western point of view. They post about whatever Asian issues are currently relevant in their lives, whether it's pop culture, current events or politics. Think "The View" with Star Jones and Rosie O'Donnell and that chick from Survivor, and how they they can barely stay in a room without arguing about something -- but replace them all with Asian Americans and Asian Canadians.
