Fri.-Mon. JAN. 16-19, 2009 X-SKI WEEKEND, CRAFTSBURY OUTDOOR NORDIC CENTER (near STOWE), VERMONT. Join the Annual Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) on 2009 MLK weekend in the tranquil, secluded Northeast Kingdom at one of VT's premier Nordic ski areas with more than 100 km of groomed trails on terrain suitable for all levels. Comfortable lodging with two twin beds in each room (linens and towels provided), shared baths, sauna, fitness and activity rooms, Internet access, coin laundry, lakeside dining and really great nutritious food. Nordic center offers instruction and rentals plus a small ice-skating pond. $305 fee includes three nights lodging, 9 meals (Friday dinner through Monday lunch) plus 3-day trail pass. I'm really sorry but I have to miss the trip this year. I'm going to the Galapagos and will be returning on Jan 19. This will be the first time I've missed the MLK weekend in about 15 years. Hope you have good snow and an enjoyable group.
