The Rev. Mark Knestout was the priest in charge of transforming Nationals' Stadium into a solemn sanctuary for the Pope's visit to D.C. As Director of Worship for the Archdiocese of Washington, he also commanded the small army of 2,000 volunteers during the Mass last month.
Born and raised in Bowie, Knestout is the 8th of 9 children. He attended St. Pius X School, then Archbishop Carroll High School.
After working as a lobbyist and legislative analyst, he began studies for the priesthood while earning a Master's degree in International Business Management at UMD.
A news story of his role in the Pope's visit can be viewed here. Elections of officers for the coming year by will take place at this meeting as well, so please plan to attend. Only dues-paying members can vote, so please remember to renew your membership if you haven't done so already.

thanks for the invitation. Since I live in Virginia, driving to Mitchelville, MD is too far for me. I attended that one time for my aunt/business associate Nenen Toledo. Kindly take me off your life of invitees and I wish you and your organization more success! God Bless.
Hi all,
It is a very busy time as school comes to a close, so I can't make this meeting. Thanks again so much for your very generous gift to us at the Gala. We are very blessed. Hope to make it to breakfast this summer!

Say hello to Fr. Knestout for me, and give him my best ! He was an assistant, I believe, to Cardinal Hickey, when the latter had me doing radio PR for the Catholic School System in '96-'97 ( which led to forming CBN-PG).
