We are excited to announce the RTP DVClub is hosting it's next luncheon on Tuesday, October 14th at the Prestonwood Country Club. Please make sure to RSVP to ensure you get a plate and a seat when we welcome our host, Mark Strickland from Cisco and our speaker, Tony Correale.

Tony Correale is an expert in VLSI circuit and chip design with a focus on optimized power and performance. Thirty-three years of industry leading experience developing custom and semi-custom VLSI processors at IBM, has enabled him to assess a wealth of knowledge in this ever so complex field. Tony has worked as the IBM principal engineer for design engagements with Xilinx, AMCC, Cirrus/MiCRUS, UMC, Toshiba and Motorola. Tony was recognized as a key technical leader within IBM and was sought after for the most challenging assignments.
Tony has received three IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Awards, two IBM Outstanding Innovation Awards, four supplemental patent awards, and a major suggestion award. He was an invited speaker at the IEEE Electrical Performance of Electronic Packaging (EPEP) Conference, Boston Massachusetts, October 29, 2001, and an invited Panelist at the Low Power Symposium on Low Power Electronics & Design, Rapallo, Italy, July 26, 2000. He has spoken to the IEEE student body at Penn State and NC State Universities on the merits of power/performance efficient VLSI designs and careers in engineering. He has also participated in several IBM Corp Task Forces and IBM Academy studies. He recently co-led an IBM Academy of technology study on VLSI design transformation. Tony is presently the Chief Engineer and Consultant at VLSI Engineering.
