Your invited to TRCA's Fall General Membership meeting. As part of the meeting, we are hosting a candidates night for Virginia's 45th House of Delegates. Incumbent Democrat David Englin has confirmed and Republican challenger Vicki Vasques has been invited. In addition, the City of Alexandria’s Department of Transportation and Environmental Services will provide us with a briefing of the City’s stormwater system at the meeting tonight. The presentation will be geared toward the problems facing the City’s aging infrastructure (in particular, the threat of severe flooding) as well as potential measures to address the issue(s), including funding options, such as a Stormwater Utility. A question and answer session will follow the presentation. This presentation will undoubtedly be of great interest to many in the community. Refreshments, snacks, and seating begin at 6:45 PM; meeting begins promptly at 7:00 PM in the Masonic Memorial's Theatre room.
