This year, the rafting trip will change locations to the Tieton River, which is located on the east side of White Pass, near Naches, just 45 minutes from Yakima. This is also the date of the biggest toga party
This is a special river that only gets run during the month of September (when the dam is opened to let water out). If you enjoy rafting, then this is a must do. The put-in is the highest in Washington and the river goes for 12 miles, 600 ft of elevation drop, ending in the desert. Although this is Class 3+, the continuous non-stop rapids down this steep river keeps this one exciting.
Description from web: "Without a doubt, the best overall whitewater trip of the year! Non-stop action, with hardly a breather, this is the fastest moving, and fastest dropping river in the state. The Tieton begins by blowing out of Rimrock dam (warmest river water in the state), just upstream from where your trip begins. Rugged volcanic basalt cliffs line both sides of this mountain canyon, and the sun shines bright since you're on the dry side of the state. Blast through Wild Rose, High Noon, and the unforgettable Waffle Wall. Our guides love this river above all others. Great riverside camping throughout the area. "
Cost of this trip should be $71 per person (if we get a group of 10+). This is a full service trip and includes guide, raft rentals, life jackets, helmets, wet suits, and lunch.

It's about a 2 hr 45 min drive from Seattle and 4 hour drive from Portland. A large group has requested an early start time, so we'll be running the river at 9am. This means you'll either have to wake up really early to get out there or go the night before and camp/stay at lodging. I plan on camping 2 nights.
Sept 15th happens to be the biggest river toga party on the Tieton river. Expect several hundred people to enjoy the festivities Saturday night.

The rafting company also has a group of 50 from a sorority rafting that morning (and attending the toga party), so there is very limited space. Reservation is locked in for 17 people. Let me know if you want to join and I'll check for space.
Payments by Paypal should be cash only ($71). If you want to use a credit card, you can either pay me by Paypal ($75), or call the rafting company at 1-800-464-5899 and pay $71. Just let them know you're with Andrew Liu's group on 9/15.
