Dear Rochester Poets Members & Friends,
Our annual picnic us upon us! This year's picnic will be held tomorrow,
Saturday July 28, once again at the home of Gary and Wendy Lehmann, 1802 Jackson Rd, Penfield.
Barring a thunderstorm (let's all focus our telekinetic powers and move that low front farther west or east!), Gary and Wendy again plan to have their in-ground pool open; so bring along swimwear and towels. If you've never been to Gary and Wendy's home, there's a link to a detailed online map on our website:
www.rochesterpoets.freehostia.com/ Or use the following link:

Once again, to avoid the "who's bringing what" problem that always crops up, you'll find a "Please select something to bring" dropdown window below the "Will you attend" buttons.
I've tried to include all the usual stuff. Select an item, and it will be subtracted from the list total (i.e. many items have a "quantity" greater than 1 -- once the total is reached, the item is removed from the list).
The one problem with this feature is that you can only sign up for 1 item -- e.g. if you offer to bring "1" of the several bags of buns needed, you can't also sign up to bring soda...or anything else. So, if you want to bring stuff from more than 1 category or bring more than 1 "unit" of any category, contact me directly.
I've also added an "Other" category for those who want to bring something not listed. If you select this, again, contact me to let me know what you're bringing. To see what folks have already offered to bring, click on
View Guest Responses in the far left column; if you haven't RSVPd yet, you can also click on the "view responses" link just below the "Please select something to bring" drop down menu below the RSVP window
If you're an RP member, don't forget to bring a poem or two to read and 20-25 copies to pass out; even if you're not a member, we'd love to hear one of your pieces -- please bring copies as well! Finally, note that there's a link for you to "Invite more guests" -- in this case, folks you think might be interested in Rochester Poets. Just click on the link and enter the guest email(s) -- separated by commas -- in the window.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me. And though you don't have to open an account on Evite (which is
free, Evite is well worth joining to help you organize your own events.
See you tomorrow.
~Frank
