Greetings!
The SEO Atlanta Alumni Chapter is hosting a Kick-Off event for interested SEO alums in the Atlanta area to learn about available Board opportunities, network with fellow alums, and share their opinions on what activities they would like SEO Atlanta to become engaged in.
A list of open board positions is included below. Alums interested in running for any open position who cannot make it to the event should email Chioma Duru at ethanah@hotmail.com. Details regarding the election procedures for board positions will be shared at the event and emailed to those who have expressed interest via email.
President
Leads club efforts on behalf of its members, SEO, and community, serving as primary contact between SEO Atlanta and SEO Headquarters; convenes, sets agenda, and presides over meetings; selects committees and appoints chairs; submits annual President's Report to SEO; works with others to ensure continuity within the club.
VP of Communications
Manages the club communication, takes notes at quarterly meetings, and distributes the notes out to board members. Supervises e-mailings and keeps records of all relevant documentation for SEO Atlanta (i.e. calendar and brief summary of events for purposes of communicating with SEO Headquarters).
VP of Events and Community Service
The VP of Events is responsible for creating events for SEO Atlanta. In this capacity, the VP of Events works with other board members and volunteers to plan and execute events including community service activities. Duties include setting event-activity goals and running the Activity Committee.
VP of Membership
The VP of Membership is responsible for managing membership for SEO Atlanta. Duties include setting goals for membership, managing the SEO Atlanta membership and director list, and developing membership growth strategy.
VP of Schools and Student Relations
The Schools Committee Chair is responsible for helping coordinate the SEO interview process for Atlanta. Additionally, this person would work with SEO Headquarters to facilitate the mentoring program locally.
Alums interested in a non-leadership role with SEO Atlanta are also encouraged to communicate their interest either at the event or by email to ethanah@hotmail.com.
