UPPER MARLBORO COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLE

I am a candidate for County Council in District 9 because I believe our communities are hungry for a dramatic change in leadership. This CHANGE-IN-ACTION Community Roundtable is a community forum designed to give you a direct opportunity to talk with me and your neighbors about your concerns, ideas, and hopes for the future of our area.  I believe we must create good-paying jobs for the 21st Century near our Metro transit centers, advocate for innovative reforms and more resources for our south county schools, push for new youth recreation centers and summer jobs programs, provide more affordable and accessible health care, and use proactive approaches that improve public safety through early intervention and additional resources for new south county police and fire stations. And all of this should be a part of a "smarter" growth and infrastructure approach that stops the erosion of our rural tier.
