An Evening with Leaders of the Burmese Democracy Movement in Exile

 DCIC is very pleased to have two exiled leaders of 'Democracy Movement in Burma' joining our next East West Connection meeting at the Fireplace Mansion this Saturday. 

Bo Hla-Tint and Shwe Htee will be presenting an up-to-date insiders talk on the ongoing struggle with the Burmese authorities.

As many know, there was a serious pro democracy demonstration in Burma that was brutally silenced, just weeks ago. It verged on a subtle revolution. Buddhist monks were arrested and brutally murdered. The internet and many other media outlets were shut down by the Burmese government during this period. Since this time, the information of what has happened has been to some degree unknown, but hopefully
not forgotten.The following links may be helpful in being better informed about the focus of the evening's talk.
