Dear folks,
You're cordially invited to the 2nd Annual Bay Area Party for Progress!
Hosted this year by the SOMA Creativity Center, this event aims to bring together local activists, artists, professionals, and other progressively-minded folks -- to connect, create new opportunities, and expand our sense of interconnectedness in our efforts to create a better world.
The night will include performances by local artists, remarks by special guests, an open mic, and an opportunity to reflect together on what moves & inspires us.
Proceeds will benefit Bay Area Young Positives, a SF nonprofit for youth living with HIV/AIDS (85% of proceeds), and the Men's Story Project, a new local performance project related to diverse experiences of masculinity (15% of proceeds).
If you'd like to bring materials on your organization/projects, there'll be a space where things can be laid out.
Sliding door cover of $10-50 (no one turned away for lack of funds).
**Featuring!**
Guest speakers: * Dr. Steven Tierney, Deputy Director of SF AIDS Foundation * Ocean Robbins, Co-Founder/Director of YES! Musicians: * Amal Kouttab - classical guitar * Austin Willacy (myspace.com/austinwillacy) * Jerry Kennedy (jerrykennedymusic.com) * Melita Doostan (melitamusic.com), David Doostan, Josie Lehrer & David Rosenfield * Babes in the Woods * DJ Amar (electricvardo.com) * Others TBA

a big hug, Josie & Revi
