You're invited to a Birthday Party to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention... Ash Mohney's 30th birthday party, that is! Many of you know that I plan on walking in Chicago's Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk for the AFSP, in my brother's name. In order to be able to walk in this event, I need to raise $1,000. My goal, however, is $2,000, and I'm going to need some extra help getting there! Don't worry whether you know Ash or not, it's your party too. Life should always be lived as a celebration of your birth! So come, bring a couple dollars, a couple friends with a couple dollars or even just a pocketful of change to donate to help me out. I'm hoping to make more in donations than we spend, so maybe bring something to the party. Something to snack on? A bottle of something tasty? Party hats? We will be grilling hot dogs, veggies, and whatever else is brought for the grill, at 6pm. This is the family-friendly portion of the evening! Bring the kids (three already live here) and let them play in the yard! After 9 or so, we probably will be doing more partying in the "traditional" sense (you know: drinking, snacking, loud-musicking...) until late. Come at 6, come at 9 or come whenever at all! If you are drinking, you are expected to have a sober ride lined up! We're a 5 minute walk West off the Morse Red Line stop. We're a 2 minute walk East off the Clark #22 bus. We're just East of Paulina on Lunt.
