Web 2.0: Impact on Libraries and Information Centers
Learn the about the latest technology trends for communicating with users and collaborating with colleagues.  This panel presentation will provide an overview of Web 2.0 technologies, demonstrate how these are being used to provide library/information center services, and describe the benefits and difficulties of implementing these tools in libraries and information centers. 

Panelists include:

Edward Lomax, Assistant Professor of Information Technology, Georgia State University.
Sunny McClendon, Webmaster/Librarian. CNN
Laura Savastinuk, Co-author of "Library 2.0: A Guide to Participatory Library Service" and Assistant Branch Manager at Gwinnett County Public Library.
Kate Stirk, Librarian, North Georgia Technical College.
Chris Warren, Library Associate at Gwinnett Public Library - Suwanne Branch and creator/blogger for Library Riot.

Food Provided
Sandwiches from Atlanta Bread Company will be provided. Choice of sandwich includes: Veggie, Turkey, and Tuna.  Please indicate which you prefer or if you do not plan to eat.  Dessert, soda, and tea will also be available.

Free parking is available at the Decatur Library.  There is also street parking and metered parking (free after 6PM) around the library and Decatur Square.
