SCORCH, the leather/fetish special interest group (SIG) within the WildFyre Society, presents another fabulous camping adventure, hosted by the WildFyre Board of Directors. Join us for this Leatherfest / 7th Anniversary weekend at Camp Mars, located near Lake Okeechobee, about two hours' drive northwest of Ft. Lauderdale. This is NOT a nude weekend per se, but nudity is welcome inside the pool and volleyball complex at all times, and within the camping areas after dark.
This is an open event. Encourage your friends to come. (Click on Invite More above GUEST LIST box.) RSVP to let us know if you're coming, but you must also make your own reservations ASAP directly with Camp Mars for the best selection of tent site, rental unit, or RV site. Mention that you are with the WildFyre Society. View rates and other details.
You may also stay off site or come for the day and pay a modest fee for access to the campground. View info on hotels/motels (closest is 13 miles away) and suggestions for what to pack.
SCORCH will sponsor a hospitality suite at the large mobile home near the office (Site 1) and other amenities appropriate to the theme. Details will be provided as the date gets closer.
On Saturday at 6:30 PM, bring a dish to share at Camp Mars' Key West-style sunset party and potluck supper overlooking the pasture. (Clothed due to visibility from neighboring property.) Although it's not currently announced, the campground usually sponsors a pig roast for its anniversary dinner.
There will be bingo at the rec hall on Friday at 9 PM and a bonfire on Friday and Saturday nights (weather and regulations permitting). A live DJ will spin in the rec hall on Saturday evening, and there will be videos and games on Sunday evening.
