You're invited to be a part of history! Witness an attempt to break the Guinness World Record(TM) for the "longest tennis rally" while you enjoy a day of tennis on SAT. AUG 9. FREE* tennis lessons/clinics (with suggested donation to charity) will be held throughout the day sponsored by USPTA. Other event sponsors include: Prince, Pro Penn, Pilot Pen Tennis, Jet Blue and North Haven Health & Racquet. It will take approximately 15 hours to break the record. The rally begins at 9am and ends about 12 midnight. This year, the goal is 27,000 strokes, which represents the number of children around the world that die every day from treatable or preventable causes under age 5. The event is in honor of Scott Wilson {USPTA pro who died of ALS} & Tim Gullikson {tennis pro who died of brain cancer}. Through the sport of tennis, we hope to increase awareness of these health issues & raise funds for charity. If you cannot attend, you can support by making a donation.
