NOTE RULE, FEE AND PRIZE CHANGES:
We've dropped the rule against use of wireless controllers, so bring your wireless PS2 guitar controller and shred to your heart's content. We're also dropping the entry fee, which also means we're dropping the cash prizes (sorry!) Instead you'll be competing for Red Octane swag, and we're only taking the top 8 players from each class after the qualifiers. This also means registration for each class is first come first served, once we hit the max, we're not taking any more players.
If you don't get one of the 40 spots, you can go on standby and take a spot if someone forefeits it (ie doesn't show up, or shows up late) on the day of the competition. Note that the time has changed from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Play starts at 7:30pm.

Check-in begins at 7:00pm - play begins at 7:30pm. Competitors will be assigned timeslots - DO NOT MISS YOUR SLOT!
RULES:
No entry fee for contestants, first come first served. Those who fail to check-in before the start of play may forfeit their spot to those on standby. Spectators get free admission. Sponsored by Red Octane. This tournament will be using Guitar Hero II. Competitors must pick one of three classes to compete in - Medium, Hard, or Expert. Competitors may not compete in more than one class.
All competitors go through a qualifier round, qualifier song in each class determined by a special guest. For time reasons, qualifier will be done head to head pro faceoff for points only. After qualifiers, the top 8 competitors in each class will go head to head in elimination rounds of two songs, chosen by each player. The top two final players in each class will then go on to battle for the grand prize for that class.
Competitors may bring their own PS2 guitar controllers and headphones (1/8" minijack)! (WIRELESS CONTROLLERS ARE ALLOWED). In fact, bringing your own PS2 controller and headphones is encouraged!

IF YOU ARE A SPECTATOR:
Choose the Spectator category (under "Please Choose Something To Bring") - do not pick Medium, Hard, or Expert. If you choose Medium, Hard, or Expert, that means you're competing and are taking up an entry slot. Spectating is free.
IF YOU ARE A COMPETITOR:
When RSVPing, select if you are competing in Expert, Hard, or Medium difficulty (under "Please Choose Something To Bring"). You may not compete in more than one class. There is a limit of 40 spots in each category (subject to expansion depending on available space). If you fail to show, or if you show late, you spot may be forefeited to someone on standby/waitlist.
