The Port of Seattle Tour includes a tour of their state-of-the-art headquarters building at Pier 69 (2711 Alaskan Way). There is a large observation deck and even a stream flowing through the second floor. Diana Parker, Community Project Manager, Public Affairs, will give a 10 to 15- minute Port overview. Following the overview, Mr. Claude Harris, a mechanical engineer with over 25 years experience at the Port, will speak about various aspects of our Engineering Department. We will then take the Port's tour van and half-bus with our guides, who will narrate the drive along the waterfront to Terminal 5 Access Park in West Seattle and back. (The entire visit will run two hours, total). Because it will be getting dark sooner, it is important that the program starts promptly at 6 pm.
Validated parking is available to meeting participants in the Port's Bell Street Pier Garage. Entrance is across the railroad tracks from the Edgewater Hotel on Wall Street. Please bring your parking tickets with you for validation. Free parking is also available on the street after 6 pm.
Cost of the Tour is $10 per person to cover fees from the Port of Seattle. We will collect this at the start of the tour. Please arrive by 6pm sharp. You will be informed of the status of your reservation via email.
