The Latino, AAPI and South Asian grassroots organizations for Barack Obama invite you to join us on Thursday, May 1, from 7-9 p.m. at Roe Restaurant (upstairs lounge), 651 Howard Street. The event is free, but donations to Obama for America are welcome at the event.
As Sen. Obama heads into the final stretch of the primary campaign, this event will provide an opportunity to hear from our featured speaker, Georgia McCauley, a close friend of Barack's mother and a leader of the Democrats Abroad organization.
In addition to her short talk, we'll be showing a DVD with rare footage of Obama's growing up in Hawai'i -- video seen by very few people.
