Join your fellow Haas MBA students and network across programs while helping SF kids learn about healthy eating!
We'll work on a school garden helping build a compost area, worm bin, and new garden bed. Make sure to wear long pants and closed toed shoes. They will have all the tools and supplies that you will need but bring your own water bottles! If you have gardening gloves, bring those as well.
Afterward we'll grab lunch nearby.
Urban Sprouts is a school garden program that serves low-income youth from San Franciscos under-served neighborhoods. We teach youth to grow, harvest, prepare and eat vegetables from the school garden, in order to help youth become more engaged in school, eat better and exercise more, and connect with the environment and each other.
Remember this counts toward hours required to graduate as a Haas Community Fellow!
The entrance to the school is on Bacon and their is ample parking in the school lot (also accessed from Bacon).
