Learn about and discuss what works, doesn't work and what's the future of social networking.
Roberto Wohlgemuth, Media Relations Manager at Ashoka's Changemakers will talk about their experience with using facebook, bebo and myspace to promote their competitions and engage people who are interested in social issues and social entrepreneurship.
Heather Ratcliff, Information Manager at The Advocacy Project, will share some tips about using Change.org, Facebook, MySpace, Flickr and YouTube for mobilizing supporters and fundraising online.
Ben Wikler, Campaign Director for Avaaz.org, will talk about how Avaaz integrates its core email-based organizing to leverage sites like MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, and Flickr in its worldwide campaigns.
This meeting will take place from 3:30-5:00 pm on Thurs., March 27 in Washington, DC. Let us know if you are interested in participating in-person or by phone. It is free for staff of OneWorld partner organizations. If you don't work for a OneWorld partner, it costs $50 to participate in the meeting. You can pay online below.
