Who says there's nothing to do in Columbia. And who says our youth today are headed in the wrong direction. Come prove both of these myths wrong by supporting the Central City Shamrocks Traveling Baseball Club in their Moonlight Cruise on Lake Murray. The relaxing and fun 3-hour cruise will feature great food and drinks, good music and plenty of dancing aboard the 'Southern Patriot'.
The cruise is in support of our youth, but it will be an adults only event. What could be nicer than enjoying something different with your better half or for the singles, coming out to meet some new friends.
All the while, you will be supporting a group of talented and gifted African-American youth from our community. The Central City Shamrocks are 2005 and 2006 World Series Champions. The team features many of the most highly regarded high school baseball players in the State. This team has made history numerous times, including being the first all black AAU Baseball team in existence in 2004 and also by being the first group of African-Americans to win a World Series event in 2005. In 2009 the first of our young men will begin to graduate high school and our goal is to provide enough exposure so that every one of them will be offered college scholarships. This is the major fundraising event for the team and we greatly appreciate your support. In return, we are working hard to organize a social event that will be second to none.
So, please come spend Saturday, May 3rd dancing, dining, and sailing by moonlight in support of our youth. There is a limited capacity on the boat, so please purchase your tickets ASAP. And by all means, please forward this invitation to anyone else you feel might be interested. (You can do this by clicking 'Invite More People' under Guest Options)
Tickets are $50 each and include a catered meal and open bar. To obtain tickets you can purchase them securely through this site or contact: Pete Dyer: 803-429-1469 Willie Minor: 803-381-4249 Crosby Albert: 803-518-7595 Kenny Peterson: 803-237-4658
