The heat is finally breaking and the sun is going down earlier, that must mean it's time for the annual Fall International Dinner with the North Texas Peace Corps Association!
Please join us for a low key evening of great food and great company at Carl and David's spectacular garden home in Richardson. A small army of Returned Peace Corps Volunteers will be preparing dishes, sides, and deserts from their countries of service to share with you and your friends, all in support of a good cause!
Admission is $20 at the door if you've RSVP'd ($25 for you last-minute types) and all proceeds go to support the international projects of currently serving North Texas Peace Corps Volunteers.
This event is BYOB and will be featuring a "ShareBar". Bring your favorite wine, spirit, or non-alcoholic beverage and set it out on the bar to share. Optionally, stick around anonymously for a moment to hear people compliment your amazing choice in beverages!
At 6pm, the "Café Cuerpo de Paz" salsa tasting and happy hour kicks off featuring a variety of tangy concoctions. Feel free to bring your own family recipe (or favorite store brand) and be crowned the salsa king (or queen)!
At 7pm the food tables officially open and everyone gets to experience the wide variety of tastes and smells collected from the four corners of the earth for your enjoyment.
Stick around afterward for great conversations and stories while admiring David and Carl's amazing backyard garden. It's quite a sight and has been featured in Southern Living, Dallas Morning News, and a number of other publications.
If you have any questions at all or are a RPCV wanting to volunteer for a cooking position, please call Rob at 314-795-9778.
Please feel free to forward this invitation to anyone you think might be interested in joining us, the more the merrier!
