classic halloween costumes

Classic Halloween characters are perfect if you aren't feeling too creative--or if you want to show off just how creative you can get with a classic theme.

Suggestions:
• Witch--A pointy hat and black dress are easy basics, but you can also do it up with black-and-white-striped stockings, green face paint, long, black fingernails and a long wig.

• Ghost--Easiest costume ever; just cover yourself in a white sheet with holes for your eyes and nose cut out of it. Or go as the ghost of a dead celebrity. Choose a recognizable figure (Elvis, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe) and add white face paint and dark circles under your eyes.

• Vampire--A black cape and fake teeth do the trick. Or you can vamp it up by going as the well-dressed bloodsuckers from Interview with the Vampire or Lost Boys.
